Grand Lucayan Bahamas Resort

Better by Bike

Whether you’re an ace cyclist or haven’t ridden in years, one of the best ways to explore Grand Bahama Island is by bike. If you’re feeling rusty on wheels, put yourself in the hands of the super-friendly folks at CocoNutz Cruisers, whose fleet of blue-hued bikes is a familiar sight around the island. Stroll over to their home base at Port Lucaya Marketplace and ask for the Banana Bay Tour, a three-and-a-half hour guided tour on motorized bikes. Along the route, you’ll wind past coastal homes, take a peek at some playful dolphins, watch a live conch demonstration and conclude with swimming, snorkeling and lunch on the beach. While this tour is a hands-down fave, we hear they’re adding a longer five-and-a-half hour option (to historic Lucayan National Park) soon.
