Five Must-Read Tips for First-Time Bahamas Vacationers

Bahamas Vacation

There’s no way to pretend that a Bahamas vacation will be difficult. Even if you’re a first-time traveler to the Bahamas.

But that doesn’t mean your “rookie” status as a Bahamas vacationer won’t hinder you in some ways. Namely, you might not know how to squeeze very last drop of fun out of your Bahamas vacation the first time you get here. It’s easy to be too concerned about the bill, about when to check out, about when to rent what car at what time.

Forget all that. Here are five tips for ensuring you get the most out of your Bahamas vacation the first time around.

Tip #1: Only stick to a loose and flexible schedule. Having an itinerary is great; it shows you know how to plan. But once you get here, your travel plans may change a little. You may want to explore this event or enjoy that activity…and before you know it, you’re off the plan. So only make a schedule of must-do’s and take the rest as it comes.

Tip #2: Do something different every day. The moment you get here, it may feel like you have forever to tackle all of the events you want to tackle. Nope! You only have a week or two. So make the most of them by making a promise to do something different every day.

Tip #3: Get outside. Sure, a comfy room at the Grand Lucayan might be a luxury, but that doesn’t mean you should spend all day inside!

Tip#4: Explore the nightlife. While a day or two in your room might be appropriate for a vacation, don’t forget to explore the Bahamas nightlife. Restaurants and events always have something special to offer.

Tip #5: Relax and have fun. It’s not rocket science. You’ll get the most out of your Bahamas vacation by relaxing and being yourself.

We will be staying at the Reef Village. Will the Lucayan have a shuttle for us at the port? How do we rent a car once we are at the resort?
